We designed and implemented an integrated program for the Health and Safety of employees at the solar park "Perasma" in Kozani. With over 400,000 man-hours without accident, we were distinguished for the effectiveness of the program.
At the recent Health and Safety Awards 2024, we were distinguished as "WINNER" in the category "Renewable Energy Sources". The award recognized the development, implementation and monitoring of the Health and Safety program we created for the construction project of our solar cluster "Perasma", in Kozani.
An effective project
Based on our value of caring for our employees and partners, we created an integrated Health and Safety plan. Its main goal was guaranteeing the absolute safety of all employees who participated in the implementation of the construction of the solar park "Perasma" in Kozani. To ensure the effectiveness of the project, we developed and implemented international standards and best practices on safety issues in all project activities, with strong commitment from the management of all stakeholders.
At the same time, we proceeded to further inform and train our contractors and subcontractors both at the beginning of the project and throughout its duration, we carried out daily health and safety inspections, we implemented programs to reward employees with good performance in H&S issues and we created comprehensive information campaigns regarding the various risk categories.
Firm commitment to safety
The result of this multi-month action plan was the achievement of 400,000 man-hours, without any work accidents during the construction of the solar park "Perasma" in Kozani.
The Health and Safety program we have developed is yet another instance proving our firm commitment to achieving sustainability at every level of our business. This year's award follows last year's distinctions in the categories "Renewable Energy Sources" and "Innovation in Health and Safety issues". At the same time, we continue organizing initiatives that promote the value of safety, in various aspects of daily life, for our employees and society as a whole.
