We have completed the acquisition of four operational wind farms with a total installed capacity of 150.2 MW from EDP Renováveis (EDPR), with an estimated value exceeding €200 million.
We announce the completion of the acquisition of a portfolio of four operational wind farms in Greece, with a total installed capacity of 150.2 MW, from EDP Renováveis (EDPR), following the fulfilment of all customary conditions stipulated in the relevant sale and purchase agreement.
With the addition of these new assets, Principia’s total installed renewable energy capacity now reaches 727.2 MW, representing an increase of approximately 26% compared to the previous year. Wind installed capacity increases by approximately 40.7%, reaching 518.6 MW (from 368.4 MW).
The transaction, with an estimated value exceeding €200 million, is fully aligned with our company’s strategy to further strengthen our portfolio with mature, high-performance, long-term renewable energy projects in Greece. The portfolio comprises four wind farms operating under 20-year Contracts for Difference (CfD).
The four wind farms are located in mainland Greece, specifically:
- Erimia Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 35.4 MW, in the Municipality of Lokroi (Regional Unit of Fthiotida)
- Livadi Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 45.2 MW, in the Municipality of Lokroi (Regional Unit of Fthiotida)
- Xironomi Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 36 MW, in the Municipality of Tanagra (Regional Unit of Boeotia)
- Chalkodonio Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 33.6 MW, in the Municipality of Farsala (Regional Unit of Larissa)
The total annual energy production of the above wind farms amounts to approximately 321 GWh.
