Prometheus Eco Racing is the energy efficiency racing team of the National Technical University of Athens and consists of undergraduate and doctoral students from the Schools of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of the educational institution. The mission of the team is to design and manufacture high energy efficiency electric vehicles.

We support Prometheus Eco Racing in this project of research, innovation and engineering, operating with professional standards and high demands. The team represents Greece every year in the international competition Shell Eco-marathon, against top universities from all over the world, having won important distinctions to date.

Innovation Proven in Practice

The team's vehicle is original, environmentally friendly and built entirely by its members. Its energy efficiency is impressive: a journey of 1,000 kilometers can be made at a cost of less than €0.30. This performance is proof that efficiency, when combined with technical knowledge and proper design, can transform the way we perceive electric mobility.

State-of-the-art technology and real-world expertise

Prometheus Eco Racing develops all the vehicle's key subsystems in-house, from electrical circuits and telemetry systems to the three-phase permanent magnet motor and power inverter. At the same time, it designs and implements industry-standard control algorithms, while utilizing lithium-ion batteries and advanced energy management systems.

Continuous simulation, experimental verification, and optimization of each subsystem are a key part of the process, transforming theoretical knowledge into a measurable outcome.

Our commitment

Our support for the Prometheus Eco Racing team is a conscious choice and a substantial investment in knowledge and innovation. We believe that the energy transition is not just about projects and infrastructure, but more importantly about the people who will develop clean energy technologies. By supporting this effort, we are empowering a new generation of engineers who dare to design, test and evolve the sustainable mobility of the present and the future.
