At Principia, we are advancing with a clear strategy toward achieving Net Zero by 2040, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable growth and responsible operations in the clean energy sector.
Building on our verified 2024 carbon footprint, we have set specific interim targets for 2030, fully aligned with the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, as outlined in the Paris Agreement. At the same time, as we continue to expand our portfolio—through increased installed capacity and the adoption of new technologies—we remain committed to measurable and meaningful emissions reductions.
By 2030, we aim to achieve an 88% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, while ensuring that 100% of the electricity consumed across our operations comes from renewable sources. In parallel, we are targeting a 10% reduction in Scope 3 emissions intensity, both per MWh produced and per MW installed.
Looking ahead to 2040, we aim to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 95%, limiting any residual emissions to less than 1%. Recognizing that the largest share of our carbon footprint lies within our value chain, we place strong emphasis on collaboration with our suppliers, enhancing data transparency and developing initiatives that contribute meaningfully to Scope 3 decarbonization.
To achieve these targets, we are implementing a range of concrete mitigation measures, including the progressive electrification of our corporate fleet, the consumption of green electricity, and energy efficiency initiatives across our daily operations.
As a renewable energy producer with already very low carbon intensity, we demonstrate in practice that business growth and climate action can progress hand in hand. Our Net Zero roadmap is an integral part of our strategy for a sustainable energy future.
