For us, wellness is not an isolated initiative, but part of the daily experience of our people
From sports and physical care to mental health and family support, we create opportunities that help employees connect, grow, and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond their work. Through indoor sports events, exercise activities in the office, participation in running events and initiatives that help our mental balance, we encourage wellness in all its forms.
At our Corporate Hub, we implement a fixed exercise program, which includes stretching sessions, power training and functional workout and takes place within working hours. The programs are designed by a professional trainer and are adapted to the needs of people who spend a large part of their day in sedentary work. Through targeted strengthening, mobility, and recovery exercises, sessions help improve posture, reduce musculoskeletal discomfort, and enhance overall fitness.
At the same time, the Principia Running Team, with a regular presence in important running events in the city, encourages an active lifestyle and cultivates team spirit. Our participation in the Greece Race for the Cure is a typical example, as our employees ran for a cause with a strong social footprint, the information and awareness about breast cancer. Our continuous presence in running events, such as the annual Authentic Marathon and the Athens Half Marathon, transforms sports into a shared experience that unites people with different interests and professional subjects.
With the aim of strengthening our sports activities, we created the Principia football team, which has had an excellent run in the 2025-2026 season, reaching both the Group B final of the Commercial League 7x7 corporate championship and the final of the Commercial Cup. Being present in two finals within the same competitive year is a significant success and reflects consistency, the commitment and team spirit that characterized the team throughout the season.
One of the most special initiatives of recent years was the Athletic Games, an internal event that brought colleagues together through sports and recreational activities. The program included a wide variety of activities: basketball 3-on-3, bowling, laser tag, padel, mini-basket, ping-pong, running, but also darts. The initiative proved that the best teams are not only built in the office, but also through shared experiences that create a more active, positive experience for everyone.
Mental health care is an equally important priority for us. Through special workshops and informative activities, our employees have the opportunity to discuss issues such as stress management, resilience, emotional balance and maintaining healthy boundaries in everyday life. Furthermore, recognizing that the needs of our people evolve in different phases of their lives, we collaborated with the Fainareti Non-Profit Organization for the implementation of a parent support action. Through an experiential discussion, we examined issues related to parenthood, the mental strengthening of the family and the balance between professional and personal life.
Our wellness initiatives have a common denominator: they create opportunities for our people to get to know each other better, develop new habits, share shared experiences, and feel like they belong to a community with shared values. These moments of connection transform a workplace into an environment where people evolve, empower, and enhance their personal resilience.

We implemented two fire drills together with the Fire Service in our solar parks, confirming our commitment to prevention and safety.
We carried out fire drills in our Kavasila and Karydia solar plants, in collaboration with the local teams of the Hellenic Fire Service. Each drill was designed to simulate realistic conditions and test in practice the operational readiness of all parties involved.
The first drill took place at the Karydia solar park, in the Municipality of Xanthi (Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace), with the participation of our employees, contractors, as well as the Fire Service of Xanthi. The scenario concerned a fire outbreak inside and outside the park and the immediate, coordinated mobilization of all parties involved. After the completion of the drill, there was a detailed exchange of technical information between our engineers and the officers of the Fire Service, with an emphasis on the equipment of solar installations and the electrical hazards related to incident response.
Subsequently, a similar drill was implemented at the Kavasila solar park, in the Municipality of Pinios (Regional Unit of Ilia), in collaboration with the Fire Service of Lechena. The scenario simulated a fire incident within the project, with the aim of testing the application of safety procedures in real operating conditions of a RES project. For the coordination management of the incident, the Fire Service’s Forces Coordination Informational System "ENGAGE" was used.
Our support for Civil Protection and the work of the Hellenic Fire Service has been a long-standing priority. In 2024, we organized training seminars for Fire Service officers and cadets in Ptolemaida, Kozani, Grevena and Chalkidiki, while we proceeded to provide equipment and materials to the Fire Services of Alexandroupolis and Kozani, as well as to the Fire Academy of Ptolemaida. We also collaborated with the 4th Special Disaster Response Unit (EMAK) to implement an evacuation drill in one of our wind farms, actively enhancing our operational readiness and security.
At the same time, the implementation of the drills in our projects reinforces our commitment to safety, confirming that prevention, exchange of expertise and cooperation are our main priorities in all our activities.

With our sponsorship, we supported the 12th Final Four of Youth Basketball 2024-2025, in Kozani
The best Youth Basketball teams of Western Macedonia competed in the two-day tournament of the Union of Basketball Clubs of Western Macedonia (EKASDYM) in co-organization with the Municipality of Kozani and the Region of Western Macedonia. We supported the event, which is a top sporting event for the region of Western Macedonia, promoting sports and fair play among young people.
Four teams, over 50 players and hundreds of people gathered at the Lefkovrysi Indoor Gymnasium for the tournament that decided the title of Junior Champion of EKASDYM. In the semi-finals, Dioskouroi Kozani faced APS Arion Ptolemaida, while AS Kastoria faced Iraklis Kozani. In the grand final, Iraklis Kozanis won the championship, defeating Dioskouroi Kozani.
Alongside our operations throughout Greece, we support local communities with activities and initiatives that create value for all. Our sponsorship of the Final Four in Kozani reflects both our practical support for the development of sport at the local level, but also our commitment to youth and the promotion of healthy role models.
Our presence in Western Macedonia is multidimensional, as with renewable energy projects with a total installed capacity of 144 MW, we contribute to the energy transition of the region towards a greener future. At the same time, we implement a series of programs and initiatives that support, among others, local entrepreneurship, agri-food innovation, tackling energy poverty and creating meaningful social impact through circular economy.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, we organized a Krav Maga seminar for our female employees
International Women's Day (8 March) is a reminder of the ongoing effort for gender equality and women's rights. This occasion highlights women's successes in society, work and science, while highlighting the challenges that remain, such as labor inequalities, discrimination and gender-based violence.
According to research from the University of Oregon, self-defense training can prevent attacks and reduce incidents of violence against women by 60%. That's why, on the occasion of International Women's Day, we organized a specialized Krav Maga seminar for our female employees, aiming to equip them with valuable self-defense and empowerment skills.
Krav Maga is one of the most practical and effective methods of self-defense, designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of physical condition or martial arts experience. In the specially designed workshop, participants were trained by professional instructors of the International Krav Maga Federation [IKMF], who showed them basic self-defense techniques, how to recognize potential threats, and how to react calmly and effectively to various situations.
Practical training included demarcating space, effectively using physical weapons such as voice and simple defensive strikes, but also dealing with common attacks in an upright position and on the ground. In addition to learning techniques, the seminar also focused on the self-protection mindset, offering our female employees the opportunity to gain more confidence, feel more secure and enhance their physical and mental strength.
International Women's Day is not just a day of celebration, but an opportunity to highlight the importance of empowering women in everyday life and in the workplace. Through our internal initiatives, we support the inclusion, equality and personal development of all our employees. After all, we are the first renewables company in Greece who signed the European Diversity Charter of the European Union, through which we are committed to promoting diversity and equal opportunities in the workplace.
At the same time, we organize a series of initiatives that express this commitment, such as special events to raise awareness on equality, as well as our volunteer program, which includes the support of people with disabilities, with the participation of our employees. The Krav Maga seminar It was a dynamic and meaningful experience, empowering our women to feel stronger and more prepared for any situation.

We implemented a series of awareness-raising initiatives, aimed at opening meaningful dialogue around organ donation and transplantation.
The program “Love Can Save Lives” was designed to inform, engage, and encourage reflection on a topic that directly concerns human life, solidarity, and collective responsibility. Through targeted actions and internal communication, we sought to move beyond statistics and address the emotional, ethical, and social dimensions of organ donation, fostering a culture of empathy, informed choice, and social awareness.

During Principia Summit 2025, our all-day corporate event, we created a dedicated section to focus on organ donation. The segment featured an honest and deeply moving discussion with Sandy Lenti, a heart transplant recipient, alongside an insightful presentation by the Hellenic Transplant Organization. Sandy shared her personal journey, offering a powerful, human perspective on what transplantation truly represents: life, resilience, and second chances.
Additionally, the Hellenic Transplant Organization provided clear, data-driven insights into how the transplant system operates in Greece, addressing common misconceptions and highlighting the importance of informed consent. Together, these contributions transformed awareness into understanding, creating a moment of reflection that resonated strongly with participants.
Organ transplantation remains a critical yet under-addressed issue in Greece. Despite the country’s strong medical expertise and specialized transplant centers, donation rates remain among the lowest in Europe.
Each year, hundreds of patients remain on waiting lists for life-saving transplants, while many do not receive organs in time. The gap between available donors and patients in need underscores the importance of sustained public awareness. Increasing knowledge and open discussion around organ donation is widely recognized as one of the most effective ways to improve donation rates and ultimately save lives.
The impact of the Love Can Save Lives campaign was reflected in measurable results. According to a survey conducted following the completion of the initiative, the percentage of participants willing to consider becoming organ donors increased by 10%. This outcome confirms the power of informed dialogue and personal storytelling in shaping attitudes. Through this initiative, we strengthened our commitment to social responsibility and to supporting actions that protect human life and create lasting positive change.

We organized first aid seminars for all our employees, offering knowledge that can save lives.
According to the European Resuscitation Council, every year 350,000 people go into cardiac arrest out-of-hospital in Europe, but only 10% survive. Immediate reaction from bystanders can change this outcome: in case of cardiac arrest, early implementation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) It can double or even triple the chances of survival, especially if it starts within the first 3 to 5 minutes.
Knowledge of first aid can be crucial in emergencies, as a sudden medical incident can happen anywhere, even in the workplace. That's why we organized first aid seminars for all our employees, enabling them to acquire critical skills that can save lives.
During the seminars, participants were trained in basic first aid techniques, such as checking vital signs and applying cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which keeps a person alive until specialized medical help arrives. In addition, they practiced the correct use of the automatic external defibrillator (AED), a tool that can restore heart function in the event of cardiac arrest, and increases the chances of survival by 90% if used within the first minute. Finally, training was conducted in the management of choking incidents, using methods such as the Heimlich maneuver.
The seminars were conducted by specialized professionals in the field of first aid of the Elite Special Missions Team, who offered not only theoretical knowledge and guidance, but also practice. Our employees had the opportunity to apply the techniques they learned in simulations of real situations with the use of plastic busts, which enhanced their confidence and their ability to react calmly and effectively in a time of need, whether in their personal or professional lives.
With this initiative, we managed to enhance safety in our workplace and cultivate a climate of cooperation and responsibility. Knowledge of first aid is not only a useful skill, but an act of care towards our colleagues and the people around us. When prepared, we can respond quickly and effectively, saving valuable time – and potentially a life.
First aid training is a worthwhile investment. At Principia, we are committed to continuing to promote prevention and safety, because we believe that a safe working environment is fundamental to everyone's well-being. This commitment is demonstrated by our awards as a leading Renewable Energy Company in Health and Safety issues, but also our cooperation with the Hellenic Fire Brigade for a series of training seminars.

For another year, we ran in the 5km race of the Athens Marathon, supporting the work of the EXELIXI ZOIS organization.
Following the participation of our employees in the 5km race of the 39th and 40th Authentic Athens Marathon, our running team returned. Once again, our presence was planned to support a social cause, as through our participations, we contributed to the work of EXELIXI ZOIS, an organization that supports children and youth who grew up in care structures, in their beginnings as students and professionals.
Our team covered the 5 km route, which runs through the center of Athens, leading to the finish line at the historic Kallimarmaro Stadium. All together, we participated in the grand celebration of sports, merit and fair play, guided by team spirit and aiming to boost equal opportunities for every young man and woman, in their academic and professional fields.
A team with social contribution
This was not the first time that the company is on the side of beneficiaries of EXELIXI ZOIS. In March 2023, with the participation of our running team in the Athens Half Marathon, we supported the organization's educational, athletic and cultural programs for young people who grew up in care structures and are taking their first steps into adulthood.
Additionally, on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we welcomed girls - who have just finished school or are taking their first professional steps - in our offices and showed them around our facilities. Executives and women engineers discussed with them the great job opportunities offered by the dynamically growing energy and technology sector in Greece.
We promote the well-being of our people
Along with the axis of social contribution, our presence at running events such as the Authentic Athens Marathon is part of our goal to enhance the well-being and quality of life of our employees, encouraging physical exercise. To that end, we organized a series of Well-being Seminars, with topics that concern our people in their daily lives, in order to improve their mental health and enhance the maintenance of a balance between personal and professional life.

15 May 2024
We organized a seminar dedicated to work-life balance for all our employees. Our long-standing commitment continues to be to support our people, both in their professional, personal and family lives.
We recently organized a series of Support Seminars, with topics that concern our people in their daily lives. Our goal is to enhance their ability to respond to different challenges by improving their mental health.
The first Seminar dealt with an issue that concerns, perhaps more than any other, the workers of modern times: maintaining the balance between personal and professional life.
Achieving a work-life balance is vital to everyone's quality of life, as it enhances both mental and physical well-being. Research over the past few decades has consistently highlighted the detrimental effects of overworking and neglecting personal time.
A study by the World Health Organization (WHO) found that people who work long hours are at greater risk of developing various health problems. Work-related stress has been linked to cardiovascular disease and mental health disorders such as depression.
To analyze this issue in depth, we organized a special seminar, in collaboration with the Panhellenic Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Vocational Reintegration (PEPSAEE). The instructors of the Association visited our offices for interactive sessions. During the workshop, all participants shared experiences, expressed opinions and discussed how they themselves achieve balance in their personal lives.
Then, the participants were divided into smaller groups for a series of experiential exercises on topics such as creating boundaries at work and effective, practical communication with our family environment and loved ones. In addition, case studies of employees facing difficult conditions in their daily lives were presented, with the teams undertaking to propose solutions.
In today's world, with technology enabling continuous connectivity, striking a balance between professional responsibilities and personal life has become increasingly challenging and crucial. However, it is not just a question of time allocation. By prioritizing our wellbeing, we take care of our mental health and improve our quality of life.
Principia's main priority is the development and protection of employees and in this context, in 2020 we were awarded as the best workplace in Greece at the "Great Place to Work" awards.
Through our actions for our employees, we seek to strengthen a corporate culture based on common values and goals, giving the space and resources to our people to develop their skills and personality. Our actions for the Creation of Shared Value (CSV) are fully aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, with this initiative being part of SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

14 November 2023
With #GreenRunningTeam, the largest "green" corporate team, we ran in the Authentic Athens Marathon, in the 5km race.
Our Green Running Team was actively involved in the 40th Athens Authentic Marathon, which took place on Sunday, November 12, 2023. This time, more than 50 employees of the company ran in the 5 km race, while one of our employees took part in the complete 42 km Authentic Marathon.
Following its successful involvement in the 39th Athens Authentic Marathon and the Athens Half Marathon in March 2023, the green team was once again present at the city's great running celebration. It is, of course, fitting that the Marathon takes place in Athens as it is the birthplace of this famous race. The first modern Olympic Games were held in Athens in 1896 and the Marathon is based on the legend that in 490 B.C. the messenger Philippides ran 22 miles (42 km) from Marathon to Athens with the news of victory over the Persians.
Moving forward 2,500 years, in November 2022, 14 Marathon runners from 12 countries took part in the 39th Athens Authentic Marathon, while 76 employees from Greece ran in the 5 and 10 kilometer versions. In March 2023, the Green Running Team also entered the Athens Half Marathon, running for a good cause, as part of the company's participation fee was donated to support EXELIXI ZOIS’s educational programs. This organization, whose name means “Life Evolution” in English, helps children between the ages of 12 and 17 who live in both private and public institutions. By law they are obliged to move out at the age of 18, and EXELIXI ZOIS endeavors to prepare them for adult life with programs that focus on education, sports and culture. This is in line with two of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, namely, SDGs 4 (Quality Education) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). This time, we ran the 5 km route and, after crossing the finish line, we gathered at the Kallimarmaro Stadium to applaud all the runners who, with their effort, confirmed the ideals of sport, meritocracy and fair play.
As a leader in the renewable energy industry, we show our commitment to a sustainability model based on targeted actions with a significant impact on people's daily lives. Our initiatives are fully aligned with the afore-mentioned UN Sustainable Development Goals, and not just “Quality Education” and “Decent Work and Economic Growth.” The Marathon is particularly relevant to Goal 3: “Good Health and Well-being.”
29 September 2023
Since 2008, in all our activities in Greece, our first priority is always the absolute safety of all involved. We have implemented a comprehensive health and safety program, which we recently enriched with a seminar on safe and eco driving.
We commit to our safety program, pay attention to detail and focus on achieving our objectives in key aspects of our daily activities, in order to cover all possible scenarios in our professional and personal lives. This commitment has proven successful in many ways, as our initiatives have recently been recognised with some very important distinctions: In the Health and Safety Awards 2023, we received awards in the categories "Renewable Energy" and "Innovation in Health and Safety", as we completed ten years with zero accidents.
Our effort to promote safety in every aspect of our activities continues. To that end, we recently organised a series of seminars on safe and eco driving.
As transportation and driving to and from our plants throughout the country is an essential part of the work of our staff throughout Greece, the provision of specialized relevant training is an initiative of great importance. Thus, in collaboration with the Driving Academy, we offered all our employees a series of seminars and practical training, which aimed to familiarize participants with techniques for safer but also more economical and environmentally friendly driving.
The first part of the training was theoretical and covered topics such as preventive driving, hazard recognition and avoidance, proper braking, blind spots, suggested techniques and useful tips for dealing with dangerous conditions such as rain and fog. Finally, the theoretical training analyzed ways of economical driving and the benefits of modern technologies, such as electrification and the use of hybrid vehicles.
Then, everyone had the opportunity to practice the various techniques, driving on a specially designed track, at the Safe Car Driving Center, just outside Athens. The participants carried out a series of exercises, with increasing difficulty, on dry and slippery roads, covering all the difficult conditions and unforeseen obstacles they may encounter while driving on the road network.
With prevention in mind, we undertake the design and development of systems to take precautions against risks, applying protection measures and evaluating them continuously. We prioritize raising employees' awareness on the vital importance of health and safety, as well as protecting the environment. At the same time, we developed the "Open Safety Project" initiative with employee visits to facilities of other sectors, aiming to determine the best practices in health and safety.
We also monitor the proper implementation of the company's health and safety program through digital tools and applications, while with the contribution of technology we have established direct and real-time monitoring of contractors' performance in our plants, on relevant issues.
Through the use of innovation and training, we add to our effort for safety, without accidents. With initiatives such as safe driving seminars, we equip our people with valuable tools and knowledge, help cultivate a comprehensive safety culture and reaffirm our long-standing commitment to providing a safe working environment for all.
We demonstrate daily our commitment to a sustainability model based on initiatives and targeted actions with a significant impact on people's lives. Our Creating Shared Value - CSV initiatives are fully aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, with this activity being part of SDG 3: Good Health & Well-being.
