Through special programs, volunteer action, reforestation actions, donations and support for cultural actions, we are in constant interaction with local communities and prove our commitment to sustainable development.

In cooperation with Organizations, Foundations, NGOs, Communities and Institutional Bodies, we have implemented, since 2020, over 320 actions and support initiatives throughout the country. In the period 2024-2025, we further strengthened our footprint, with nationwide initiatives but also with targeted interventions in areas where we develop and operate projects.

Volunteering and collective giving

Since 2022, we have been implementing the corporate volunteering program "Be The Hero", through which we have supported over 45 charitable organizations throughout the country and have carried out 3 environmental cleanups,  collecting over 12,500 liters of waste. Since 2024, we have established the annual Community Week initiative (on the occasion of World Volunteer Day), implementing a total  of 13 actions in collaboration with organizations and structures such as the Chatzipaterio center, the Athens Nursing Home, "Boroume sti Laiki", the SOS Children's Village of Thrace (Alexandroupolis), the "Agios Savvas" Hospital, the Margarita Vocational Training Center, Trees4Greece and the "Kivotos” Rehabilitation Center in Kozani. Our employees embraced these actions with consistency and enthusiasm, offering over 1,000 hours of volunteer work in total.

Circular economy with a social purpose

As part of our corporate rebranding, we proceeded with an initiative of circular economy in collaboration with Fabric Republic, giving new life to materials that had been linked to the company's previous operations. Over 200 items (such as vests, hats, t-shirts, banners and bags) were transformed into brand new accessories and made available for a good cause, while enhancing responsible resource management and social contribution. Also, in 2025, during the construction of our first BESS Station in Chalkidiki "Themelio", waste resulted from the plastic covers of the 26 containers of the batteries, which were transformed into waterproof utility backpacks and which we offered to our colleagues.  In Kozani, in 2024, we created an original wooden playground utilizing pallets from the construction of the “Perasma” Solar Cluster, in collaboration with the University of Western Macedonia and CluBE.

Green initiatives and protection of natural wealth

Our environmental action also has a substantial local footprint. In Kafireas (Evia) we completed a long-term project: the reforestation of the historic forest of Kastanologgos, with the planting  of 30,000 new trees in an area  of 660 acres, contributing to the restoration of a centuries-old wild chestnut forest. At the same time, we have been implementing since 2023, an innovative biodiversity protection program, placing artificial cages for the Tyto Owl in 12 solar parks in different regions of the country. In addition, in Crete we have proceeded with biodiversity enhancement initiatives, such as the creation of special feeders for birds of prey near wind farms, in collaboration with scientific bodies.

Targeted interventions with a strong local footprint (2024–2025)

In the areas where we operate, we implement initiatives that respond to the real needs of the communities. Indicatively, in 2024-2025 we supported the SOS Children's Village of Thrace in Alexandroupolis with works to upgrade the outdoor spaces while also offering sports equipment. In the community of Sidera, we completed the renovation and promotion of the old school dating back to the 1930s, which now operates as a cultural meeting center, while in Karystos, we strengthened local beekeeping, contributing to a five-year journey that led in 2024 to the registration of the Greek flower honey "Kissouri Honey" as PDO.

Strengthening Civil Protection and the Fire Service

Supporting Civil Protection and the work of the Hellenic Fire Service has been a long-standing priority for Principia, especially in areas where we are active in energy. In the period 2023–2024, we organized training seminars for members of the Fire Service in Kozani, Ptolemaida (Cadet School), Grevena and Chalkidiki, while we proceeded to provide consumables, equipment and materials to the Fire Services of Alexandroupolis and Kozani, as well as to the Fire Academy of Ptolemaida. At the same time, we collaborated with the 4th Special Disaster Response Unit (E.M.A.K.), for the implementation of an energy plant drill, practically enhancing operational readiness and safety.

Charity bazaars and social contribution from our people

During the Christmas and Easter holiday seasons, we regularly organize charity bazaars at the company's Corporate Hub, with the participation of our employees. Through these initiatives, we have supported organizations such as ELEPAP, Make-A-Wish Greece, Chatzipaterio Child Rehabilitation & Support  Center and Margarita Vocational Training Center, strengthening their work in a meaningful and direct way. Bazaars are now an established institution of giving and participating for our corporate community. Every year we give our employees the opportunity, through the Givelink platform, to offer their Christmas gift for a social cause. The company doubles the offer, supporting families and children in difficulty. Through this initiative, tons of food and basic necessities have been made available in organizations such as "Together for Children", the Asylum for the Incurable, "Exelixi Zois", "To Foteino Asteri" and other social support organizations.

Standing by the New Generation of Engineers and Scientists

We are constantly strengthening our connection with the academic community, through targeted collaborations and actions with educational institutions throughout the country. Our collaboration with Polytechnics and Universities proves in practice our commitment to investing in the new generation of engineers and scientists. This action follows our Energy On The Go educational program educational program, aimed at primary and high school students.

Raising awareness and actions on life, equality and inclusion

As part of our commitment to a corporate culture of equality, inclusion and social responsibility, we regularly implement information and open dialogue actions on issues concerning people and society. Starting from inclusion, we created the "Everyone Is Here" group, an internal initiative that brings to the fore the values of equality, diversity and inclusion. The team consists of employees from all departments of the company - regardless of gender, age, role or professional level. In 2025, we implemented the "Love Can Save Lives" program, with the aim of raising awareness about organ donation and transplants, organizing a discussion with a transplant recipient and becoming more informed by the Hellenic Transplant Organization. At the same time, on the occasion of International Days, we organize speeches and actions on disability, gender equality and diversity, enhancing meaningful dialogue and understanding. Finally, since 2021 we have been firmly by the side of Giorgos Mouchthis, the top Greek champion for people with disabilities in table tennis, supporting him in his participations in international events.

Continuing commitment

For Principia, social contribution is a conscious choice and a firm commitment. With our people at the forefront, with reliable partnerships and with actions that have substance, duration and a measurable footprint, we continue to invest in what has real value: in the societies where we live and operate
